چکیده
Abstract Background Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain. Understandably knowledge normal sonographic plantar fascia thickness (PFT) crucial to diagnose this condition as thickened the most important ultrasound finding for its diagnosis. Objective The objectives study are compare PFT among heavy weight bearing and non‐weight individuals sonographically assess effect age, gender body mass index (BMI) on PFT. Methodology 154 patients, 77 in each category groups, was assessed sonographically. Independent sample T test used it between two groups. Analysis covariance bilaterally, both groups with adjustment BMI standing hours. Correlation age also calculated using Pearson's correlation analysis. p value ≤0.05 considered significant. Results Mean all patients 3.8 3.2 mm left right respectively. There no significant difference foot paired t test. Those had significantly PF than other group bilaterally. ANCOVA showed that effects Age found be correlated group. Conclusions Factors causing increased stress such lifting can thickening part physiological adaptation.

Proposals for a Failure Criterion Applicable to Discontinuous Rocks
The existing failure criteria to evaluate discontinuous rocks are predominatly based on the relations between principal stresses at failure. None of the criteria has a direct reference to the magnitude of deformation as a major parameter in rock Several reasons are identified indicating that the selection of peak stress as a major parameter, which is obtained through the evaluation of a failure...
متن کاملReliability of Various Measurement Stations for Determining Plantar Fascia Thickness and Echogenicity
This study aimed to determine the relative and absolute reliability of ultrasound (US) measurements of the thickness and echogenicity of the plantar fascia (PF) at different measurement stations along its length using a standardized protocol. Twelve healthy subjects (24 feet) were enrolled. The PF was imaged in the longitudinal plane. Subjects were assessed twice to evaluate the intra-rater rel...
متن کاملPlantar fasciitis (fasciosis) treatment outcome study: plantar fascia thickness measured by ultrasound and correlated with patient self-reported improvement.
Ultrasound, well recognized as an effective diagnostic tool, reveals a thickening of the plantar fascia in patients with plantar fasciitis/fasciosis disease. The authors hypothesized that ultrasound would also reveal a decrease in the plantar fascia thickness for patients undergoing treatment for the disease, a hypothesis that, heretofore, had been only tested on a limited number of subjects. T...
متن کاملThe correlation between plantar fascia thickness and symptoms of plantar fasciitis.
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to determine whether changes in plantar fascia thickness are a reliable gauge of efficacy of treatment protocols for plantar fasciitis. METHODS Thirty-nine feet (30 patients) with plantar fasciitis received an ultrasound examination to measure the thickness of the medial band of the plantar fascia. Each patient assessed his or her pain using the visual...
متن کاملEndoscopic Plantar Fascia Debridement for Chronic Plantar Fasciitis.
When conservative therapy fails for chronic plantar fasciitis, surgical intervention may be an option. Surgical techniques that maintain the integrity of the plantar fascia will have less risk of destabilizing the foot and will retain foot function. Endoscopic debridement of the plantar fascia can be performed reproducibly to reduce pain and maintain function of the foot.
